I want to know- can technology be effectively used in a classroom of students with special needs? I believe the answer is yes. Today, 1 in 150 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. One of the diagnosing factors of autism is communication and social disabilities. These technology sites offer great ways to use the technology in classrooms to increase learning.

These sites are a collection of blogs, newsletters, teacher created lessons, and professional foundations which address the education of students with autism. Squidoo and MangoMon are webs tools which use technology to increase communication and social skills. I am very excited to use these in my classroom and know they will prove to be valuable resources.
